Mimi in the bath (and in the pink!)

Hello. Oh my, I think I'm just going to make it in time for this fortnight's In The Pink challenge. I nearly gave it a miss when I saw what the challenge was - Make It Sparkle.

But, no! That's why they are challenges! So, I'm not really a sparkly, glittery sort of crafter. Glitter is very unruly, the minute it's opened it's everywhere, and I mean everywhere! Glitter card, mmmmmm, nothing sticks to that. Oh, I know the scrape some off trick but that in itself is a messy business, and I feel for my poor pokey tool. And don't even get me started on glitter glue!

Anyhoo, here it is. Complete with glitter card and glitter glue and much, much more sparkly in real life!

Sunday 26 April 2015

it's your day!

Hello. Well I'm back from my jaunt to Dundee. I met some lovely crafters (and non-crafters) who all went away with a beautiful, made by their own fair hands, card using the latest Trimcraft products. Next Sunday I'm heading south to Dumfries, hope to see you there!

Anyhoo, here is my usual Sunday card for the DigiStamp Boutique. I have used Nell and flowers, a brand new image and on offer at the moment. I coloured using Copic pens and the paper is 'simple stories'. There are still a few days left to make a card using any of the Boutique's images and enter the customer competition. All the details are here.

Trimcaft Santoro demo card

Hello. I thought you might like to see one of the cards I made at last Sunday's Trimcraft demo. Isn't she gorgeous? The image is from the decoupage pad and I added a metal charm and a wooden key.

This Sunday I am a little further afield from home (will need the satnav for this one). I am at The Range in Dundee. As well as the Santoro range I also have the brand new Bohemian range to show off!

New Home

Hello. We are having a really lovely spell of gorgeous spring sunshine. Maybe that's what prompted me to use a yellowy (is that a word?) shade on my card!

The digi image is 'sketchy house' and is on offer at the mo' in The DigiStamp Boutique. All the new images are here.  There's something for everyone this month - some cute farmyard animals, owls, Christmas, a snoozing Ralph and (my new favourite) Kimono Pip.

See you tomorrow, I have my Papertake Weekly Challenge card to share.

A lovely toot for my blog!

Hello. Easter whizzed past in a blur of chocolate and I seem to have taken an unplanned blogging break - I haven't posted a card since last Tuesday! Anyhoo, normal service will resume tomorrow when I share my Papertake Weekly Challenge design team card.

I haven't been completely non productive though. A commission of eight cards for a future edition of Papercraft Essentials, a full day doing demos for Trimcraft at the new Range in Wishaw (and I'm back there next Sunday if you want to pop along) and an exciting new design team appointment that I can't share right now!

And look, Amy, the lovely editor of Simply Cards and Papercraft has my little blog under the spotlight in the current edition - which, by the way, is a great crafty read and full of gorgeous up to the minute inspiration.

Lovely Day

Hello. Just popping quickly on to share my regular Sunday DigiStamp Boutique card. This time I have let the sentiment take centre stage.
The little mouse and bee are from Penny Black sets called 'critter party' and 'paint the town'. The backgrounds have been diecut using MFT Blueprints 20 dies. And the sentiment is from the 'Large Birthday Sentiment' set from the DigiStamp Boutique.

Rightyho, I'm off now to scoff some chocolate!

In The Pink Challenge - guest designer

Hello. I'm here with my second card as guest designer for the fabby 'In The Pink' challenge.
I've had a great time this past month joining in the fun at the Pink Palace, thanks for having me!

The challenge, which runs for two weeks, is...

Celebrate
(and, of course, lots of pink!)

There is a brilliant prize up for grabs...

£10 to spend at The Hobby House.

For my card I used one of my favourite older Penny Black stamps - frolic. I used Inktense watercolour pencils to colour and also gave the diecut daisies a touch of watercolour.

For more pink fabulousness pop over to the In The Pink challenge.
See you there!

La-De-Dah Book Cover

Hello. I don't know if many of you know this but Trimcraft do a version of the Smash book called La-De-Dah.

I prefer the La-De-Dah book 'cos the rings open and you can add (or take out) pages. I took the La-De-Dah book to my Trimcraft demo' on Sunday and it was a huge hit. I guess folk don't really know what to do with them until they see one in action. But, the secret is, you can do anything you want with it! I have used up loads of little Trimcraft bits and bobs on my cover, and, of course, some Washi tape.
I am planning on making a little video flick through of my 'scrappy do dahs' book soon. So watch out for that.
