Bee-day

Hello. I've been a busy bee!! The Christmas cards are all done for another year
(not that I made that many, I'm ashamed to say).
Anyway, I couldn't resist this new stamp set from My Favourite Things 'meant to bee'. I already have a hexagon background stamp and die set so it was all a perfect match!

I coloured using my Copic markers and I fussy cut round the stamped images
(I was very good and didn't buy the matching dies).

And I made a little matching tag!

A quick and easy card, very little effort! Just what's needed at this time of year!

Three Little Tags

Hello. I made some tags!

Felt Fairies

Hello. Guess what I made at my monthly Craftaholics Anonymous meeting? Three gorgeous felt fairies. I have displayed them on my twiggy tree. Hubby thinks there has been a fairy massacre and they have been impaled. I simply ignore everything hubby says!! So that's another new obsession to add to last months beading - needle felting!

RubberMoon happy mail!

Hello. Look what my friend Debra sent me! Debs and I 'met' a couple of years ago through a happy mail Facebook group and we have been exchanging letters, postcards and small gifts all the way over the pond ever since. But this time, wow, look what she sent!! All because I admired these gorgeously quirky stamps from RubberMoon that she had used on some makes over on her blog here.

There's four moon type stamps, two quirky birds, two sentiments some stickers and a badge! And I couldn't wait to have a play.....

First up a fairly clean and simple style. The little birdie has been watercoloured, fussy cut then added to the card over a doily and some diecut papers. Sequins and the sentiment are the perfect finishing touch.

Next a page in my art journal. Inky, painty background using circle stencils. A touch of gold paste, some washi and word stickers.I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

And finally, a bigger card. For the background here I used my infusions 'golden sands' and then stencilled over the top with brown ink. I drew around the leaves with my white Signo pen. The birds are watercoloured, fussy cut and then adhered to the background. Enameled dots and sentiment complete it nicely.

I know I'm going to have loads of fun with these stamps so a big thank you to Debs and RubberMoon!

It's Christmas!

Hello. So here we are at 1st November - how did that happen? I was going to tell you that these are the first Christmas cards to be made this year but that would be a fib! I made Christmas cards for magazine commissions back in August!! But, these are the first for my own use.

Couldn't resist treating myself to some of the new Stamping Bella stamps. The one above is 'Polar Bear and Mousie' and the one below is 'The Walrus, The Polar Bear and The Penguin. I used my Zig Real Brush Markers to colour and the paper is 'Woodland Winter' by BoBunny.

I've been thinking for a while that I miss being part of a cardmaking challenge team. I used to be on many teams. Penny Black Saturday and Papertake Challenge to name just a couple. Now I am just a 'no pals' lonely cardmaker. So, if anyone's on a team and they are looking for an extra pair of crafty hands please give me a shout.

Be back tomorrow to share what's in this month's Sweet Treat box, see you then!

More Memories - part four

Hello. I am so pleased with myself! My memory keeping in my Sn@p album is pretty much up to date. I have decided that the secret is printing the pictures as soon as possible. Then they are good to go whenever you have a few spare minutes.

The first page are views of the trees and the path in the park that backs on to our house. This is where the dog gets walked everyday. The pages below are the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow and then yours truly fooling around. I can never resist popping my head into these cardboard cutouts (do they have a real name?) and this one matches my haunted home image perfectly.

You can see more of my album in this blog post here.

reach for the stars to the moon and back!

Hello. A little while back I won the monthly challenge over at Seven Hills Crafts. It was a voucher to spend in the shop and this was one of the stamps sets I chose. It's called 'little dreamers' byWplus9.
I have kept the cards fairly plain to show off the sweet images. Just a piece of patterned paper behind the image panel and a water colour wash on the diecut panel itself.

The landscape painting programme is back on the telly tonight. One hour of telly bliss!
